ApL app for iPhone and iPad

Applied Learning (ApL) is an integral part of the New Senior Secondary (NSS) curriculum. It is introduced to Secondary 5 and 6 to cater for the diverse learning needs of students. ApL complements senior secondary subjects by offering studies with stronger elements of practical learning linked to broad professional and vocational fields. There are six areas of studies in ApL, namely (1) Creative Studies; (2) Media and Communication; (3) Business, Management and Law; (4) Services; (5) Applied Science; and (6) Engineering and Production. Students will be prepared for lifelong learning for further studies and/or work through the development of foundation skills, thinking skills, people skills, values and attitudes, and career-related competencies.



應用學習是新高中課程的一部分,課程在中五及中六年級開設,以照顧學生不同的學習需要。應用學習課程着重實用的學習元素,與寬廣的專業領域和職業領域緊密關連,並與高中科目相輔相成。應用學習共有六個學習範疇:(一)創意學習;(二)媒體及傳意;(三)商業、管理及法律;(四)服務;(五)應用科學;和(六)工程及生產。學生可籍修讀每個學習範疇的應用學習課程,發展其基礎技能、思考能力、人際關係、價值觀和態度,以及與職業相關的能力,為未來升學、就業以至終身學習作出準備。
